Santana Dharama – Milk the part of Vegetarian Dharmic Diet !! Right way of milking

In Santana Dharma consuming milk is a part of vegetarian and Dharmic diet. Our Dharma explains why Milk that comes from animal is a vegetarian diet and also sets rules on how to milk an animal and how to treat an animal so that the milking becomes dharmic one.

I remember being in a very small town in one of the most rural part of Bharat volunteering and learned many facts from there which I’m sharing here. Also in the entire Krishna Avatar, Bhagwan Krishna clearly explains the do’s and don’ts s of milking and sets the exact rule.

Let’s talk primarily about milking the cow here as that’s one of the most important part of our diet from the time we are born to die.

Cows are like any other women, when the breast milk remains in without getting consumed or taken out. creates breast pain. So when we take the milk from cow or any other animal, we help them in a way to make sure the pain doesn’t come by the remaining milk in their system.  The issue is really how to milk them? What the diary industries doing today is the right thing? Let’s address each one of them.

In Krishna Avatar, Lord Krishna clearly says that no one can even touch the milk or take the milk before the calf drinks it. Calf must be allowed to drink the milk as much as they want so that they don’t feel hungry.  After the calf fully drinks the milk then we have the right to milk the cow and this helps the mother cow a lot.

Also Krishna says in Mahabharata that Children has the first right on Milk after the calf and then the old people and than if the milk still available then only others can even drink it.

In Santana Dharma Cows and other animals are always considered as part of the family and respected and worshiped in many cases… It’s a scientific fact that Cow gives more milk when it sees its calf in joy and they are fully taken care. Also cows give more milk when they are in happy and respected atmosphere .like any one of us will do… Our body co-operates with us more when we are happy.

Today in the name of Diary industry what’s happening is Adharma. Cows are arrested in the smallest place and kept there throughout the life.  Cows are tricked with fake calf and never allowed to even play and love their children (Calf).  In many cases the cows are brutally beaten and jailed and sent to the butcher for meat the day they stop giving milk.  Another thing is harmonizing the cows for increasing the weight to get maximum return when they are sold to the butcher for the meat and to get maximum milk during milking.  This is not what our Dharma says how we should milk the cow for our selfish reasons.

It is very painful even if you visit a day into a dairy form and see the atrocity that’s being done on to these beings just for the sake of monitory returns.  This selfish attitude and atrocity makes this animal to suffer and we drink the milk of those cows that cry for seeing their babies and some basic comforts. When these animals are hurt and sad the milk that comes from them carry the pain and curse on top of the diseases that are being brought by all hormone injection and hormone food as explained above.

So Yes Milk is never bad, In fact for thousands of years in Bharat the cows were milked right and whenever the selfish vested interest lifted the head, the Gurus, Acharyas , and in many cases God himself/ herself guided the people to the right path.

But with the emergence of Diary industry whose only motive is to produce higher returns for their investors and no worries about Dharma and it becomes the violation of all the stress and pain and death that comes from it. Never forget, we become what we eat and drink.  A sad and hurt animal can never give milk that can transform peace and happiness.

We should get more into the mode of buying milk directly from the milk men/women as we have always done. Also buy milk from the place where you are rest assured that the animals are treated with love and care and follows the Dharmic way of milking. This will make sure the peace and happiness prevails at home. If you don’t know a place like that.. just start your search today… as our search starts … we find it for sure.  Somehow we need to get rid of the diary industry made products as they can transform only stress, restlessness and dies.

Follow the Dharmic way of milking as explained by Lord Krishna himself and have a live filled with peace, prosperity and blessings.  Hare Krishna !!
