By How can we expect development by destroying our own temples? And doing this is as if there is a shortage of land. Rajasthan govt is planning to demolish Shri Digambar Jain Atishay Kshetra, Padampura. It is a 1000 years old temple. This Jain temple is not a new temple built by locals, it is an ancient temple.
Thousands of mosques and Churches are built illegally which come in road extension plan, yet authorities and govt never demolish them. You can see that in each and every city.
Shouldn’t Rajasthan govt find another place for new airport or shift the plan ahead of temple so that airport and temple, both exist.
Greatness of this ancient temple
Ladnun is a town in Nagaur district in Rajasthan is the city of Jain temples and one of the most visited pilgrim places of Jain community after Shri Mahaveerji. It is an ancient and historical town.
Digambar Jain Bara Mandir
The Digambar Jain Bara Mandir is a magnificent temple houses several artistic and rare idols of Jain Thirthankara, beautiful images, engraved pillars, rare pieces of art and old jain dharma manuscripts.
The sixteenth tirthankara Bhagwan Santinathji idol is also established on the main Vedi. The beautiful and matchless idol of Bhagavan Santnathji is made of marble with a dimension of 94 x 70 cm. In front of the idol there is a rare piece of artistic door placed on two marble pillars. On the two pillars, two artful and rare images of goddess Sarswati are engraved. There is an inception found on the door which indicate that the temple is build on Ashad Sukla 8, Samvat 1136. This writing indicate that the temple is more than 1000 years old.
In second Vedica chamber, there is an idol of second Tirthankar Bhagavan Ajitnathji. This idol is 74 x 60 cm in dimension and made of marble. An inscription found on the the idol written Baisak Sukla 13, Smawat 1209. In front of Baghwan Ajitnathji idol there is also a marble door with two pillars. The two pillars are decorated with artistic Jaina images.
In the art gallery there are 166 marble an idol of Bhwan Risbhadev made of brown stone, and two idols of Bhagwan Parsvanath with nine headed serpents.
Beautiful image of Bhagwan Neminathji is also found in the art gallery. Several other images made of metals are found in digging in the nearby areas of Ladnun are placed in this art gallery.
This temple is built and repaired several times but its magnificence, beauty, purity and calmness and is preserved through ages.
RSS always is all for preserving what they term ‘Hindu culture’ and propagating Hinduism. So when the Rajasthan government decided to demolish some temples to make way for development projects, the saffron outfit was not too happy about it.
Hence, to keep things under control, the Vasundhara Raje government has tried to pacify the RSS and has tried to explain the state’s need for development. Bachao Sangharsh Samiti, the organisation steering the protest, had warned the Vasundhara Raje government of fresh agitation if their demands, including re-establishment or relocation of temples, are not met.
But even as the Raje government pacified the RSS, they were quick to blame the previous Congress government saying they only demolished temples, but not Muslim shrines.
“People agree with the demands. There is resentment among people against demolition and shifting of ancient temples. Therefore people supported the call,” Narpat Singh Rajvi, who represents Vidhyadhar Nagar constituency in Jaipur,.

We are also against your Govt targeting and demolishing old and new Hindu temples and fearing the consequences, just leaving even the illegally built Churches and Mosques. We want you stop your plan to demolish Digambar Jain Bara Mandir in the name of development.
Pl Stop!!! Don’t act like the Congress Party and follow the same path.
