Pundit Suraj Persad Ji performed Havan with Ved Manthras in University of Toronto during special Canada Day and offered Sacred Ceremonies and Prayers.
Incredible thing Pundit ji did was, he explained step by step from the beginning. He started with why to do Havan and importance of Vedas in a way, all those multi faith people can understand easily. He was accompanied by his two Grandchildren and his son and they also participated in Havan.
In this Havan to begin with Pandit Ji started with Ganesh mantra and ended with Shanti Paad. As you can see in the video the people from various faiths and back ground were exited and participated intensely.
One thing that stuck with me was how Pundit ji explained its meaning for each and every shloka in English so all can understand. So it was just not ritual but also a briefing for understanding. We also learned that Pundit ji and his son were instrumental in getting that specialized building built by Toronto University with high efficiency exhaust fan so that the Havan can be performed in Hindu way.
Toronto U also agreeing to allow Bhagawan’s Moorthi in the multi faith hall in case if the Hindu community come together to install the Moorthi for the benefit of the students. We are also glad to let you know generous temples like Vishnu Mandhir & Hindu Sabha has already agreed to give Moorthis for the benefit of the Toronto University Hindu Students. To finish this work, there is a need of $30,000+ CAD. If our community can come together and fund this money then the dream of Hindu students of Toronto and Toronto University Hindu Chaplin, Sri Suraj Pundit Ji. We can certainly do that as a community of million people in Toronto. Let’s jump in and lead this cause.
In greatness of Toronto U, they have also agreed to give land for the Hindu temple where University Students can come and perform prayer Hindu way. Land will be from University and funds for other aspects of the construction of the temple have to be raised by Hindu community. As we finish the Moorthi installation in Toronto U Multi faith hall we can take on the temple offer by Toronto U.
Best Example is Jewish community which has built its own worship place with the help of the Jewish community on the land provided by Toronto U right there inside the university and we can do it too.
Couple of interesting things we would like to share that we came across during this ceremony in Toronto University. Imam Imran Ally who was supposed to be there in the program will not participate as there will be a Havan and also Shiv Ji picture there. These guys names are listed as inter faith leader. What a sham it is.
Ms Ayeda Husain who came there blatantly lied that Chakras and Pranayamam kind of breathing yoga are from Sufiism. When I countered here.. She said that Sufi founders had a great relationship with Yogi Gurus and rishis of Santana Dharma and from there they picked up. This proves one more time, that we need to be careful and not afraid to challenge these Hippocrates right then and there.
Let’s give big hands to Pundit Suraj Persad Ji one more time for championing for Hindu cause and doing whatever it takes to reach out to the people. I could understand the depth of his work when one Jewish Elder came and thanked him that because of Pundit Ji he started to read Bhagawath Geeta and other important books suggested by him. Thanks Pundit Suraj Persad ji for what you are doing. You like hero are the ones who protect our Dharma for generations to come.
