By Very glad I came to know about the Krishnashtami celebration that will be done in a grand scale in Sri Naval Bajaj’s home in Brampton, Ontario. Surprised and excited in a way to see the celebration in the home and how it will be done.
Sri Naval Bajaj is a Canadian politician from Brampton. We asked him “How in Brampton where the Hindu identity is not considered very favorable in politics, it’s always assumed such kind of explicit showcasing of Hindu religion may alienate other communities. How he is doing this function?”
Sri Naval Bajaj went in detail explaining how he has always celebrated Krishna Janmashtami. “I celebrated in my college hostel, and if I’m travelling then in train or hotel I stayed.. But did celebrate.. Because in my mind, this is who I’m and this is our function and I do to please Krishna. Also in political circle all my friends told me not to celebrate… but for me this is who I’m and this is no politics but my life. I’m not inviting politicians to my home but my friends and their families” he said.
As I entered the home on the back yard, hundreds of people sitting and enjoying the beautiful Bhajan & Keerthan that was going on. Hundreds of them keep coming to have the darshan of deity. Here with we are attaching the pictures for you to have darshan too. Krishna was covered nicely in a thin cloth symbolizing his birth in the mid night when the curtain will be removed for a full darshan.
People were dancing their heart out for the keerthan and incredible food was even supplied in a class style for all the devotees and friends who were visiting to have darshan of Krishna and join with Bajaj family to celebrate Krishna Janmashtami in that evening.
The musical band that was singing the keerthan was the best and people were getting mesmerized..In general this was one of the best Krishnashtami functions we have seen. In this occasion, we thank Bajaj family for hosting this event and pray Lord Krishna to bless them with all heath, wealth, prosperity, success and peace in abundance.
