The meeting at Hindu Heritage Month at Brampton was well attended and left a positive message that we have to unite all the Hindu Organizations and Temples in the GTA to promote the Sanathan Dharma. Our temples must spread the Vedic Values and also involve the younger generation in doing such events.   – Surinder Sam Sharma

“Today’s Hindu Heritage Month celebration was an example of the great diversity in Brampton, where our residents celebrate one another’s cultures and religions no matter their background. The Hindu community has contributed greatly to Brampton and I look forward to attending more events in the near future.”

The celebration of Hindu Heritage Month in November in the province of the Ontario is a growing recognition of the Hindu Dharma values that are universal and eternal. This also reflects the important contributions Indo-Canadians make in enriching the Canadian society in all spheres of the national life. I feel that declaration of Hindu Heritage Month at the beginning of Hindu New Year at federal level will truly make it a national celebration.

” It’s  was indeed a very proud and joyous occasion attending Hindu Flag Hosting Ceremony celebrated at Brampton City Hall. Earlier this year Government of Ontario proclaimed November Hindu Heritage Month. Brampton took the lead and became first city in Ontario doing the same.

This occasion must be celebrated by each and every Indo Canadian regardless of religion, faith, caste and background because this proclamation signifies Government of Ontario’s belief and trust in thousands of years timeless rich Hindu culture, philosophy, value and heritage.

Proclamation also means during this whole month ruling and opposition parties, various cities and other main stream and Indian cultural organisation will be organising various events, speeches, talk shows, debate and other programs on Hindu heritage, culture and philosophy.

This testifies the Govt of Ontario recognises the immense contribution made by Indo Canadians in shaping this beautiful country.  Hope other provinces and Federal will follow the suit. ”
