Lord Hanuman is one of the most revered Gods in India.  He is the incarnation of Lord Shiva. Lord Hanuman was born on the chaitra Shukla Purnima(Full moon day on the Hindu Calendar Month of Chaitra).  And is  called by the names, Maruti, Pavanputra, Bajrangbali and Mahavira.

He was born to monkey Prince Kesari and  Princess Anjani.  He was an ideal karma yogi for his fearless, selfless service, humility and devotion for Lord Ram. Lord Hanuman is the only deity among Hindu Gods that cannot be troubled by negative energies.

This festival is celebrated on  15th day of the Shukla Paksha, during the month of Chaitra (the Chaitra Pournimaa). Hanuman is an great devotee of Lord Rama and is also worshipped for his unflinching devotion to God.  Hanuman is a symbol for strength and energy.  Hanuman Jayanti is an important festival for Hindus. Hanuman is the symbol of strength and energy.

On  the day of Hanuman Jayanti people observe fast, meditate on him and his Lord Rama, practice charity, read the verses of  Hanuman Chalisa and spend the day in repeating his glories and adventures and  will be blessed always.
