By I have been working exclusively in the area of Music Teaching for last 15+ years after getting my Doctorate in music, from Mother Theresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal. I have been working as lecturer in Sree Venkateswara Music and Dance collage, T.T.Devasthanams, Tirupathi. I am awarded with Sangeetha Visarada, Sangeetha Praveena,and qualified to teach Special Training course in Annamacharya Sankeerthana . I finished my BA Indian Music, MA Music and I have done my doctorate in Bhajana Sampradayam in Andhra Pradesh. I got trained in music under the able guidance of Musical Gurus such as Mrs Indrani, Mrs Mythili,. Mr Mohan Rao,. Mrs Y V S Padmavathi, Mr Rangaswamy and Mr Sabari Girish
Music is very special to me that am exactly why I am taking every topic as special. My theory is based on 13 characteristics ( thrayodasa lakshanas) of different ragas said in traditional Carnatic music, I wrote characteristics for certain ragas. With this the artists can feel the characteristic features of particular raga and render consciously.
I also teach Hindustani music theory for final year BA music students. I have been blessed to specialize in Modal shift of tonic (Graha Bhedam), Voice Culture, Srtuthis, Ragam.. Thaanam… Pallavi in Manodharma Sangeetham, Geyanataka and improvisation of voice culture (both gifted voice and normal voice).
For me Music is devotion and Music is Service…I’m excited and thankful that I can help people to learn about the Music and improve their voice and Sangeetham through BharathMarg.Com and render my service to our Sanskrithi and God.
