The beautiful land of Jammu & Kashmir is the northernmost part of India comprises of three distinct regions namely Ladakh, Kashmir & Jammu. The state has ecstatic valleys and lofty mountain ranges, gushing river, Serene Lakes and musical streams making it a heaven on earth. The land has given birth to a number of great saints and poets and has a rich cultural heritage. With the mystic power that this land has, Jammu & Kashmir possesses a lot of richness in terms of culture and art.

The Musical Night of Jammu & Kashmir is a beautiful blend of music from all the regions of the beautiful state where musicians and singers from the state will enthrall the audience with their mesmerizing compositions and numbers.

On one side is Kashmiri music reflecting the rich musical heritage and cultural legacy of Kashmir that has resemblance to the regions of Central, Eastern and Southern Asia; and on the other side is Dogra style Bhaakh, Jagarna, Surma & Geetru in the musical singing styles and forms and is similar to Pahari culture of Himachal Pradesh.

We are pleased to introduce Sh. Sanjeev Gautam Raina, a young Kashmiri singer who is highly acclaimed for his contribution to the promotion of the traditional music of the region. Sh. Raina has kindly agreed to visit from India for this event. We also have Diva musical couple Sh. Kuldeep Singh and Ms. Anuradha Mona who have to their credit number of events promoting the cultural heritage of Dogras from Jammu region. Our local Santoor Maestro Sh. Tej Raina will mesmerize the audience with his “Santoor”. With his magical strokes over strings, He makes his unique melody speak.
